Detroits Tad Mullinx makes a welcome return after dropping two of 2002 best records. For those who picked up on his 'One/Three' ep on Detroits Ghostly International label and the 'Instrmtl' album on Prefuse 73's label , you will all know the drill by know. This is three tracks of lush jazzed up digital hip hop with added bounce.
The only new track on this ep is a nice jazzy number that sounds like a perfect marriage of Boards of Canada and DJ Premier. Also included is a remix of last years classic 'Hyped-up plus tax' which does not hit as instantly as the original but still rolls along nicely. The last track is a Prefuse 73 mega mix in which he keeps all the Dabrye hooks but adds in some of his trademark pops and glitches, nice!
