Yet another slamming release from Zebra Traffic finds Life (one third of the excellent Phi-Life Cypher) drop his debut solo album.

DJ Nappa, the second third of Phi-Life Cypher, remains on production duties and produces the perfect beats to compliment Life’s clever lyrics - while the incredibly talented Mr Thing is responsible for all the cuts on the album.

Rock It Right (featuring Skit Slam) sets the album off perfectly - and you’ll be lucky to hear a more banging hip-hop tune this year.

Life is a conscientious rapper of the highest order - displayed most notably on Never Be a Crackhead in which he systematically destroys the myths surrounding the drug. ‘Crack has become fashionable almost overnight. What’s next - a crack pipe endorsed by Nike?’

He is also obviously a huge fan of boxing - as there are rather unbelievably two tracks totally devoted to the sport. Baddest Man provides as detailed a biography of the career of Mike Tyson as you could ever wish for, while The Pound for Pound name-checks virtually every top-class boxer who has ever lived.

The lyrical content of Everyday Life is varied and interesting, and musically it’s as good as anything else out there at the moment. Top stuff.
