From the quite excellent Flying Wonders album of last year comes Homelife’s
latest single Too Fast.
Homelife are a curiously eccentric outfit at the best of times, and Too Fast
successfully manages to confirm this beyond any reasonable doubt. The fine
line between genius and madness is more successfully navigated by Homelife
than most.
Too Fast starts off like the soundtrack to one of Reeves and Mortimer’s more
off-the-wall sketches before the haunting female vocals kick in and
transport you to the very centre of that same Reeves and Mortimer sketch
upon which Mr Reeves slaps you squarely across the jaw with a vastly
oversized halibut.
Wonderful.
