Blue Jeans is the second single from Ladytron’s Light & Magic album, and is
the follow up to the irritatingly catchy Seventeen.
Blue Jeans is every bit as catchy as Seventeen, but is even lighter and
fluffier. Ladytron have an excellent mesmerising quality to their electro
pop which has seen them compared to New Order in the past. Blue Monday and
Blue Jeans do both have the word ‘blue’ in their title, but the similarities
end there.
This is candyfloss dance music, make no bones about it, but they make the
finest candyfloss dance music around.
