rman2.jpg Radioactiveman - ‘Fabric’ (Fabriclive)

Radioactiveman aka Keith Tenniswood is one half of the Two Lone Swordsmen and the Rotters Golf Club alongside the legendary Andrew Weatherall, he has also worked with artist's such as David Holmes and Dot Allision, and down miscreat way we are big fan's of his work.

In this installment of the Fabric Live series we get the sound of the Radioactiveman dj'ing experience, thankfully it is not quite as bizzarely eclectic as John Peel's recent offering.

The mix kicks off with a cool as fuck robotic voiced funk homage - name checking Funkadelic, Kraftwerk, The Motor City, Northern Soul and asks us to jack our body's from side to side, and contuines with the Two Lone Swordsmen's mix of the Slam track "Visions", the tunes throughout are of the electro 'n breakz variety kind, Depth Charge's fantastic "Honour", some absouletely essential electro by Imatran Voima, genius and much underated producer Anthony Rother pops up, a very upbeat track courtesy of Weatherall and Tenniswood under the guise of Basic Unit's. There are two tracks by Radioactiveman - well really it is the same track "Ave that", but one is a remix by Tim Wright, of which the ass kicking original is far superior. The consistently brilliant Kit Builders appear on the mix with their tune "wake up", which the lyrics appear to be about the after effects of being in La La land, rounding off proccedings in a rather climatic fashion we get some ass kicking techno with Princess Superstar's "fuck me on the dancefloor" which really is climatic when PSS shouts "Don't move, Don't leave, the roof is on fire, we don't need no water, i'm about to fucking cum"

This is a fantastic mix album, the only minor quibble being that Radiactiveman's "Do the radioactive " is not on it, but it's good enough without it!!!, oh yeah and as for jacking from side to side it's hard not to.
